Lahjarasia ja kortti / Gift box and greeting card

Veljentyttäreni täyttää 8 vuotta ja mikä onkaan paperiaskartelijalle hauskempaa, kuin tehdä nuorelle neidille lahjarasia ja kortti :) Tein kortin ja lahjarasian eri aikaan enkä tullut ajatelleeksi, että ne eivät värimaailmaltaan sovi yhteen, mutta haitanneeko tuo oikeastaan mitään. Tärkeintä oli tekemisen ilo sekä se, että pieni synttärisankari ilahtuu tuomisista.

My lovely niece is turning to 8 and it was so fun to make a gift box and greeting card to her :) I didn´t make the box and card at the same day and that´s why I didn´t happen to think that the colors don´t go together but does it really matter so much? The most important things were joy of creation and cheering up little girl.

Lahjarasiassa hyödynsin tyhjän navigaattorin rasian. Vahvensin laatikkoa siten, että rasia kestää myös pidempään käytössä. Käytin Papermanian papereita ja kuvio on stanssattu Marianne Designin ballerina stanssilla. Laitoin ballerinalle myös hiukan tylliä hameeseen.

I utilized packaging material of GPS when I made the gift box. I strengthen the box with cardboard in order to improve durability of the box. I covered the box with Papermania´s papers. Ballerina is made with Marianne Design´s die. I added also some tulle to the figure.

Kortti on ns. rocker card eli taitettu ympyrä. Tavoittelin kesäyön tunnelmaa korttiin :)

The card is so called rocker card. I tried to catch feeling of summer night in the card :)
